What we do
Rangatahi don’t have to face cancer alone. Canteen is a safe space where rangatahi impacted by their own diagnosis or cancer in their whānau can connect, share the tough stuff, and get a break from cancer. Our community was created by rangatahi 35 years ago and is still led by rangatahi today.

How does your donation make a difference?
Around 4,200 new rangatahi are impacted by cancer each year, whether it's their own diagnosis or cancer in their whānau. Last year, Canteen supported almost 700 of those rangatahi impacted by cancer in Aotearoa.
Our evidence-based support helps to reduce distress, and 96% of rangatahi would recommend us to their peers.
