It has been a week since Shave 4 a Cure happened. In that time I have experienced care, concern, kindness, and love from strangers plus generosity from friends near and far. I cut my hair to support friends currently battling cancer. "It is important to know that I am so much more than the bad things that happen to me," because of cancer. (Nightbirde, 2021)

Let's share the love and continue to raise funds for Canteen Aotearoa, with your help. 

Snip, snip, snip, and a Shave

Tuesday 5th Dec
We did it today.
Nine ponytails will go to Freedom Wigs and the final shave took place today for Canteen. 

Thank you to all my supporters these past 10 years. Thank you for your loving and generous donations to Canteen. I would not have made my goal without you. 

Countdown is on, 4 days left.

Friday 1st Dec
Thank you for your support thus far. 

In four days time the ponytails of hair are going to be donated to Freedom Wigs. The final "Shave 4 a Cure" will support Canteen. 

I am really excited to have friends help me with the final big cut. Yes, this may be the last time I have enough red hair to donate for wigs. The grey hairs are making an appearance. I know I will make the goal to raise $1000.00 for Canteen. I wonder how much more is possible.

In two weeks time

Wednesday 22nd Nov
In two weeks, the hair cut and shave will occur in the Hall of NGHS at noon. Canteen, Freedom Wigs, and myself will all be winners on the day due to the kind generosity of so many people.
Thank you all for being part of this 10 year curly, wavy, crazy hair growing journey.
